Abstract:

Strategies and opportunities for aged care providers post COVID-19 and the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety

The proposed session will be a panel session including Alison Choy Flannigan (Chair) and Karl Rozenbergs (employment partner) from Hall & Wilcox in addition to financial and restructuring advisors, risk advisors and an approved aged care provider.

We will discuss the challenges of 2021, including the pandemic and the Royal Commission.  Hall & Wilcox acted for 14 aged care providers before the Royal Commission including in four hearings.

The panel session will focus on strategies moving forward and opportunities.


Biography:

Alison Choy Flannigan, Partner, leads the Health & Community team at National law firm, Hall & Wilcox.

With over 20 years of corporate, commercial and regulatory experience, Alison has specialised in advising clients in the health, aged care, disability, life sciences and community sectors.

She is previously general counsel of Ramsay Health Care Limited, Australia’s largest private hospital operator.
